Hillside Highlight

With no shade this backyard was hot and unappealing in summer. The hillside had uncomfortable access and not much to explore if you made the effort.  A new outdoor kitchen with a generous shade structure has drawn the family outside. New fruit trees, berry bushes and redwood veggie boxes make the yard productive. The hillside is alive with color and movement throughout the seasons and a comfortable seating platform at the top of the hill is now the favorite place to relax and enjoy the expansive view.
